Happy Birthday Evan

Oh Evan what can I say....you always keep us on our toes!  Time goes by way to fast, you are already 7!  We love you so much!!! This year you really wanted to have a birthday with your cousins, but everyone was so busy with football there wasn't a day that we could have a party. So, I asked you what you wanted to do with our family.  You decided that you wanted to go to Antelope Island and ride bikes and roast hot dogs.  It was so much fun!  You love to be outside!  We drove the truck up to the top of the hill and rode our bikes down.  Grandpa Houghton followed us down with Gavin in the truck.  Then we roasted hot dogs and sang happy birthday and ate ice cream sandwiches:)  Grandma Houghton walked down to the Great Salt with you and Makayla and Tyson.  Grandma loves to explore nature with you guys.  Raygan made you a birthday cake for the party we had with Clarkes.  Happy birthday buddy, we love you!!!!

Rocky Mountain Raceway

Through Ryan's work we got tickets to the Rocky Mountain Raceway.  We went with Misty and Bryon.  It is always fun to hand out with Vigils.  We had dinner there and watched the race cars.  They had mini race cars out that the kids could sit in and explore.  Good times!

Browne Lake

Browne Lake is Ryan's favorite place to camp, he grew up going there all the time with his grandpa Evans.  We love going there as a family too.   Here we are fishing at Browne Lake.

Everyone fights over fishing with the Barbie fishing pole.  It always catches the fish!!! Evan caught his fish with "Barbie"!  It was really exciting.
The best times camping is being with family!  The kids were making a dam in the little creek that ran throught the camp ground.  I don't think that it's possible for the kids stay dry when there is so much temptation.  Most of which came from their dads!  Gotta love it!!!! The water was really cold too.
Grandpa and Grandma Evans started the tradition of camping at Browne Lake.  I think that it's like their second home.  They had a cabin not far from Browne at one time too.

Houghton Family Reunion 2011

This year for our Houghton Reunion we had it at Mom and Dads house.   The guys and boys built a tree house in the big tree in the backyard!  It rocks!!! There is a tire swing, slide, a twine hammock and a rope.  The kids are going to have so much playing and pretending in the tree house.  After the tree house we had lunch and played water games.  Then we went to the Hooper Park for a game of kick ball until the sprinklers turned on and we all went running for dry land!  That night we had hobo dinners and roasted biscuits and marshmallows.  We are so lucky to live close to family.

A Little Horse Riding

BranDee was so nice to let the kids come over and ride her horse.  Evan was scared to ride it by himself so she hopped on with him.
