Rice Family Reunion

This last weekend we went to our Rice family reunion by Causey Dam. We had so much fun! We took Ryan's mom and dad's paddle boats out on the dam and the kids jumped in with Ryan. I was really shocked. I hate the water and don't want my kids to hate the water because of me so I'm really glad they weren't scared. They were just worried about the c0ld water. They had so much fun:)
Misty and Bryon on the other paddle boat. Auston is hanging on the side of the boat.

Even little Ady got in!!! GO ADY!!!:)

There was a horse shoe tournment. This is my dad, Bryon and someone I don't know but am probably suppose to. Maybe a cousin???
We had "Rice" relays. We had a bowl full of rice and a spoon, we had to carry the rice on the spoon to a jar on the other side. Whoever filled theres first won. Our team won!
This was another relay with water.
This one they had to sit on the water balloons and pop them. It was so funny to watch them!

Makayla getting in the water:)

The river ran through our campground. The kids were wading in the water. It was SOOOOO cold!!!!

The look on Evan's face says it all. " OHHHH it's cold!"
My cousin Alisa did face painting. The kids loved it.
My dad playing horse shoes.

My mom and Tyson.
Our cooks!:)
The kids LOVE Aunt Tammy!
Makayla painting our team banner.
We are wading in the water and the kids took our picture. Our legs were so numb afterwards. We were trying so hard to smile normal but it was so cold.

Pioneer Day

Ryan had the day off and we had lots of fun. The kids swam in the backyard and Ryan was throwing them up and tossing them down the slide. They had soooo fun! (don't worry no one got hurt) They tag teamed Ryan with a bucket of water and actually got him wet. I think Ryan and just as much fun tossing them down the slide as the kids did. That evening we went to Michelle's house for a BBQ which was yummy and then we went to the Ogden Pioneer Rodeo. There were so many people there but we still had a great time. Evan loved every event. He was sitting on Ryans lap and Ryan would tell him all about the event. He was really in to it. We took my neice and nephew, Auston and Adyson. Adyson loved the clown show and just about everything else. She asked tons of questions and loved every minute of it. Auston loved the bull riders. He kept asking if they were next. I told him they saved the bull riders for last so that everyone would stay and watch the whole rodeo. He just smiled. They were so good and we all had lots of fun. (no pics of the rodeo because I left my camera in the car:(

Tumbling

Makayla has really wanted to be able to do back bends and the splits. So we decided to put her in tumbling. I think that we will take a year off from dance and let her try out tumbling. She loved it! So we'll see how this goes.

Phillips Family Reunion

Our family is growing so big. This a picture of some of my cousins and their kids.
My battery died in my camera so I was only able to get a few pictures, but lots and lots of memories. The Phillips Family Reunion has been the highlight of my summer since I can even remember going. I loved to go and be with ALL of my cousins. This year we went to Aberden, Idaho. It was so much fun. My cousins and Uncles have boats that we went on. I went on a tube with my mom, my sister Michelle, Makayla, Evan and Auston. It was so much fun. My didn't want to get all wet and only wanted the boat to go straight. Not back and forth to make big waves. But my uncle Matt said it's not fun going straight you have to have the big waves so he kept making the big waves and we got soaking wet, drenched!! I loved every minute of it. Then I got my mom and her two sisters to go on the tube, it was so much fun watching them. Back at camp there were little pools for the kids to play in, water balloon volleyball and crafts. The theme of the reunion was "Phillips got Talent" so that night we had a talent show and every showed off there talents or just some funny stuff they put together. It was really entertaining! There was some karoke and my cousin Polleen brought there guitar thing for the wii I really don't know what it was called but it was fun. On Sunday we always have a spiritual program. This year they stuck with the talents theme and everyone talked about people that magnified their talents. From people in The Book of Mormon to my sweet Grandma and Grandpa Phillips. I love hearing the testimonies of my Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and my amazing mom. As I was sitting on my camping chair listenting to the program I thought of my Grandparents watching over us and smiling at the wonderful legacy they have left behind. I miss them so much! I am so blessed to be a part of such an amazing family and an amazing heritage!

Happy Birthday Michelle!!!

Michelle just turned 25 on July 14th! We had a birthday party for her at Tenille's house. We had pizza, homemade ice cream with lots of toppings and Misty made Michelle a chocolate cheesecake. It's always fun to get together with everyone. I hope you had fun Michelle. We love you!

We surprised Michelle with her presents. She had no idea what we got her. She especially didn't expect a shop-vac. She also got a sprinkler ( she actually really wanted) and a little barbecue.
Me and my sisters!
Michelle with all of her crazy nieces and nephews. Well maybe it's just Evan that is crazy!

Antelope Island

Last Saturday we went to Antelope Island to ride bikes. It was so much fun! We drove up to the top of a big hill and unloaded our bikes. My dad drove the truck behind us so we didn't have to ride back up the big hill. (We were out to have fun not really exercise, plus Makayla wouldn't have made it back up.) Then we drove around and found the buffalo and antelope and deer and rabbits and coyotes. Grandma helped Evan find the little lizard tracks in the sand.

We all squeezed into our truck so we didn't have to pay for two vehicles to get in. So my dad and Ryan sat in the back and I drove. A little dangerous, but Ryan likes it a little on the dangerous side!:)
Me and my sis Cassie. We had so much fun! She even got to drive the big "cheby"! (Thats what Evan calls Ryans truck.) Lucky her.
The sunset driving out. So pretty!
Getting the bikes out and getting ready.
Evan and Makayla sitting in the bike trailer.
My dad took this picture of us riding down the hill.
My dad holding Tyson on his lap while he was following and trying to take a picture of himself and Tyson. He kinda got it!:)
